LSC Grand Opening Student Appreciation and Celebration
After many months of construction, Colorado State University’s Lory Student Center re-opened to students, faculty, staff and community in Fall 2014.
After the long anticipated renovation, LSC communities were eager to begin using the building and building offices, departments, student organizations and businesses are eager to begin again fully serving their audiences.
The purpose of this event was to thank students, staff and community for their support of the student center in planning and construction of the re-vitalized building.
The event focused on celebrating the milestone of re-opening the building and all its completed elements; while reminding that the purpose of the hard work will yield results for years to come.
My role in the LSC Grand Opening Student Appreciation and Celebration was to promote the Grand Opening by running three promotional booths, scheduling work shifts, and asking people to take surveys about the new Lory Student Center.

My role in the LSC Grand Opening Student Appreciation and Celebration was to promote the Grand Opening by running three promotional booths, scheduling work shifts, and asking people to take surveys about the new Lory Student Center.
As a result of this promotion I was able to retrieve over 400 survey submissions, get general information about what students, faculty, and staff think about the new Lory Student Center, and what people expect to see in the future.
Your Home Away From Home
Colorado State University’s student center is called The Lory Student Center (LSC). A revitalized LSC re-opened (after three years of planning and 18 months of construction) on Aug. 25th, 2014.
Since the reopening of the new Lory Student Center, there were many feedbacks from people that they did not feel too comfortable with the new building, therefore we felt the necessity to rebuild the image of the student center to a place where people can feel like home. We came up two messages those were "Your home away from home", and "Eat, play, shop, relax, gather, learn."
For advertising, table tent, LED displays, LCD displays, plotter printing, web banners, and videos were made to increase awareness of our message "Your home away from home", and "Eat, play, shop, relax, gather, and learn."
From this marketing campaign, I was in charge of coordinating all the advertisements, designs, marketing, strategic planning and project managements.

Lory Student Center Opening Plaza Bazaar
After three years of planning and 18 months of construction, The Lory Student Center reopened on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 . My goal was to introduce and increase awareness of the new Lory Student Center by participating in an annual bazaar "Plaza Bazaar" that occurs in front of the student center .
In order to reach out and introduce the new Lory Student Center to the campus general population a booth was set up with hand out brochures , a trifold map of the new student center, and a spinning wheel with CSU fun fact questions were set up.
Working in a booth was something that could not be done alone, therefore a time schedule with available Colab employees was prepared ahead of time.
In addition, hand out brochures were delivered to all the buildings on campus.
